I am a Toronto based aspiring Designer, Maker and Carpenter currently completing my B.Des. in Industrial Design at OCAD U and working as a renovation carpenter. My approach to design is based on traditional materials, craftsmanship and playfulness: my work is often inspired by traditional techniques, a dedication to quality and word play. We live in a world where nearly everything is disposable and objects are designed to fail and end up in landfills. I want to do the opposite, I want to design and build objects that last indefinitely, that get passed on through generations. We shape our world with the objects we possess, I believe there is an opportunity to increase our quality of life with the simple objects we surround ourselves with.
